>> Prices for Arq 7 (inc. Arq Premium) will rise on the 1st September 2026 >>
For many years now, Arq has been well known as one of the leading cloud-focused backup solutions retaining its perpetual licence structure and made available across both macOS and Windows devices. This is a backup software which proudly supports virtually any S3 compatible cloud storage service alongside many popular consumer focused cloud drives including Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox to name just a few.

As per a notification on Arq’s own website which I have noticed recently, the prices of the Arq 7 software will be increasing as of the 1st September 2026. This, according to the note on Arq’s website, represents the first price increase for Arq in over 10 years and is applicable across all licencing options including the Arq Premium service which provides 1TB of cloud storage on a subscription basis.
The new Arq pricing changes will be as follows:
Arq 7:
- 1x Device >> From $49.99 to $59.99
- 5x Devices >> From $79.99 to $99.99
Arq Premium (+ 1TB cloud included):
- 5x Devices >> From $5.99 / month to $6.99 / month (or $59.99 / year to $69.99 / year when paid annually)
Overall, I still believe these new prices for Arq to be both fair and competitive, especially so with many providers moving towards subscription-only pricing models of late (of which Arq Premium still remains very competitive against even at these newly proposed prices).
In short – if you have been thinking about buying Arq backup software, make sure to get it done before September 1st 2026 when prices increase to ensure a good deal.
